What do you do with the materials?

The materials are brought to our Los Angeles or Washington warehouses. They are weighed and sorted into CRT, PC and miscellaneous items. Once sorted, we dismantle by hand to lessen the damage of reusable materials. The product is separated into its different components such as glass, wood, metal, circuit board, battery, plastic, etc. These are separated, organized, and packed – ready to send to our downstream vendors who will further process them. 

How do I set up a collection event?

You must contact our Events Specialist, who will help you step by step on coordinating a successful e-waste collection event for your organization. We advise that you contact at least 1-2 months in advance to schedule due to a high reservation level. 

What other services do you provide?

We offer a full range of electronic waste solutions.

    • EWC provides a cost effective solution for secure on-site or off-site data destruction services. Upon request, we will shred your hard drives and provide a Certificate of Destruction (small fee is applied).
    • EWC offers full asset management and resale evaluation services. Our IT department specializes in refurbishing reusable products.
    • EWC offers convenient complimentary collection bins to clients upon request. 

What types of items can be recycled?

CRT (old, large TVs and monitors), LCD TVs and monitors, Plasma TVs, PCs, laptops, keyboards, mouse, hard drives, personal electronic devices (i.e. ipad, Galaxy tab, Amazon kindle), cell phones, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines, A/V equipments, projectors, CD/DVD players, CD/DVD/floppy disks, car batteries. We also accept household appliances such as microwaves, washers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, etc.
